MIXTAPE: SONG OF THE DAY

In den 90ern und bis in die tiefen 2000er Jahre hinein gehörte es zu meinem Lieblingszeitvertreib, Mixtapes für Freunde zu erstellen. Eine Philosophie für sich: denn kein Tape war wie das andere. Meine Freunde bekamen individuell auf sie abgestimmte Playlisten, mit denen ich Ihnen die unterschiedlichsten Dinge sagen wollte: vor allem aber eines – wie wichtig sie mir sind. Manche Tapes habe ich über Wochen immer wieder neu aufgenommen bis der Mix endlich perfekt abgestimmt war. So eine Kassette war wie ein Brief, vielleicht sogar wie ein Buch, mit vielen Bildern, aber manchmal auch wie eine Reise, immer in Gedanken darüber, was derjenige oder diejenige beim Hören dann wohl denkt und ob das, was ich damit sagen wollte, auch in den Songs rüberkommt. Ich habe das geliebt – für mich war es eine Möglichkeit, in Gedanken Zeit mit Freunden zu verbringen.

Die Zeiten haben sich geändert, im Zuge der Digitalisierung sind Tapedecks ausgestorben und heute ist jedermann in der Lage, innerhalb von wenigen Sekunden Playlisten zur jeweils passenden Stimmung bei Spotify & Co. zu streamen. Aber so ganz loslassen kann ich von meinem alten Lieblingshobby noch immer nicht – Ich trage eine ganze Menge Musik durch meinen Tag und liebe es, Neuentdecktes zu teilen. An dieser Stelle gibt es darum mein Mixtape – für jeden, der es hören und sehen möchte. Mit der Möglichkeit, dieses Tape in Form von Musikvideos zu gestalten, verfalle ich meinem 2. Lieblingshobby der 90er: Nach der Schule nach Hause kommen, MTV schauen und Musikvideos aufnehmen…
